I have noticed significant quality issues when converting PDFs to EPS using the current backends (GraphicsMagick or ImageMagick), particularly when the source PDF contains embedded icons or complex vector graphics. The resulting EPS files often suffer from rasterization or rendering artifacts. Thus, I propose adding support for Poppler's pdftops utility as a conversion backend.

I have conducted a comparative test of various conversion methods. My findings regarding output quality are as follows:

pdftops (Poppler) > inkscape >> GraphicsMagick > ImageMagick

Given that Poppler is a lightweight and standard dependency for PDF processing, adding it would greatly enhance the tool's reliability for high-quality exports.
