Support deferred tasks

I mark some PRD stories as deferred, and Chief seems to respect that. But in practice, it runs Ralph through the loop over and over agreeing they are to be deferred and never finishes.

It would be great to have formal functionality like this, that leads to "deferred" json markup, and then those stories are skipped and the progress continues accordingly.

Thanks for suggesting this. That's really interesting. What is your use case for deferring tasks? Is that things you want implemented in the future instead of now?

It it possible to just split now/future tasks into two separate PRDs in the planning phase or would it not work for your use case?

Thanks! Usually it's because I'm not ready to move with them yet, or I have yet to make an architectural decision that needs to be updated into the task. Or perhaps I want to be involved in the generation or at least observe it so I can stop it.

Now you've said it, perhaps a different PRD is the right way to go for some of them - but like that last case it's part of the main spec.

Putting it into a separate PRD certainly works, but since Claude/Chief vaguely respected the deferral (as I say just kept iterating over them) perhaps it's worth closing out in some way!
