Smart switching between "Stacked View" and  "Standard View"

As I want to display more details of the items on my laptop, I set the layout mode to "Stacked View". When I open a pdf using Zotero, "Standard View" is more suitable for reading. I hope PDF readers can achieve such smart switching. Thanks for your help.
